Summer
Day Camp
Welcome to our Kids Summer Day Camps!
NO SCHOOL? NO PROBLEM!
Our days are filled with fun, creative activities, games, free play, swimming, and park outings. We welcome children going into Kindergarten through Grade 6 this fall.
Each week has its own exciting theme, and you can register for 1 week, 1 day every week, every day, or whatever works best for your family.
Our day camp leaders are passionate students who are stepping into careers in kids and youth ministry. Through our internship program, they receive leadership training and one-on-one mentoring as they pour into your kids.
We’re committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment. All of our staff are screened and trained, because caring for your kids is something we take very seriously.
Throughout the summer, campers will explore meaningful themes that help them grow in kindness, courage, and care for others—reflecting the heart and character of God in everyday ways.

At Kids Camp, we cultivate a culture of kindness, respect, and care—for each other, our leaders, and the spaces we share. We ask that every camper joins us in creating an environment where everyone feels safe and valued.
If a child’s behaviour doesn’t align with this heart posture, parents will be contacted. In cases where the behaviour continues, we may need to make the difficult decision to remove the child from camp. While this is rare, it would be done thoughtfully, and refunds would not be issued.
We do our best to keep eyes and ears open, but we know we’re not everywhere at once (as much as we wish we could be!). If your child comes home with a story that raises a red flag—or even a yellow one—please reach out. We love partnering with parents to make camp the best it can be. You can get in touch with us at kidsadmin@summerlandbaptist.ca

If you know that your child will be away or late please notify us by emailing kidsadmin@summerlandbaptist.ca. Drop off and pick up is at the bottom door of SBC on South Victoria Road. Doors will open at 8:30am and lock at 9am. If you are running late, park in the upper parking lot and use the office door to enter. Walk down (or take the elevator) 3 flights down to the gym.

If a camper isn’t feeling well or gets injured, our leaders will assess the situation and contact parents if it’s best for the camper to be picked up early. Many of our staff are trained in CPR and First Aid, and if a more serious injury or illness occurs, we’ll immediately connect with medical services and reach out to the parent or guardian.
Please note: If a camper is showing signs of more significant illness—like a persistent cough, fever, vomiting, or generally not feeling well—we’ll contact you right away, and they’ll need to be picked up as soon as possible to help keep everyone healthy.

There will be up to 25 campers per day.

Kids Camp is led by a fantastic team that includes two College Interns and 2–3 High School Leaders. We maintain a minimum ratio of one Intern for every seven campers to ensure each child gets the attention and care they need.
All of our interns and leaders are supported and overseen by Bree Young, our Pastor of Children and Families. Bree holds a Bachelor of Education and brings a deep heart for kids and a wealth of experience to the team.

All items left behind at camp are laid out daily for campers to look through the next day. (8:30am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday) At the end of summer, all unclaimed items are disposed of or donated to a local charity.
