Youth

Our goal at Youth is to practice following Jesus together.

Students in Grades 7–12 gather together weekly through our Youth Large Gatherings, Small Groups, and Connection Nights.

Our Youth schedule roughly follows a 4-week repeating pattern: Large Gathering, Small Group, Large Gathering, and Connection Night. All Youth events take place on Sunday evenings here at Summerland Baptist Church (with the exception of the Late Nighter, which is on a Friday.)

Large Gatherings usually happen twice a month on Sundays from 5:00pm–8:00pm. Students meet together at the church for supper, connection, worship, teaching, and small group discussion.

Small Group Gatherings also happen on Sundays from 6:00pm–8:00pm. Students meet together at the church with others of the same age and gender. During Small Groups, students hang out, read Scripture, and wrestle with what it means to follow Jesus together.

Connection Gatherings happen throughout the year with the goal of having fun and connecting with one another. These include events like our Late Nighter, Grinch Night, and Small Group Off-Sites.

Small Group Off-Sites are a time for small groups to simply hang out and have fun together. Whether it’s going to a movie, doing some baking, or sitting around a fire, small groups have the opportunity to spend time together and build deeper connections with one another.
